Our Amplify Joy Studio Families Responsibilities

I have received or will obtain a copy of Amplify Joy Studio policies and will take the responsibility to carefully read and follow the rules and policies therein. Amplify Joy Studio values communication and provides multiple ways for families to stay informed including emails, Parent Portal, texts, website, and social media. Amplify Joy Studio families are responsible for staying informed through these communication means.

I understand that Amplify Joy Studio does not give credit and/or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. I further understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result from my or my child's participation with Amplify Joy Studio, and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.

Amplify Joy Studio is faith-based, and we will incorporate scripture from the Bible and prayer into classes.

Email & Social Media

Please make sure to join us on Facebook, Instagram and our email list to get all the latest updates on classes, open classes, events, master classes, and fees. We will also have displays throughout Amplify Joy Studio as reminders for important dates.

Office Hours

Office hours are Monday–Thursday 4pm–9pm. Parents, please make sure to take care of all business issues during our regular office hours. Please note that our Summer office hours will be different.

Tuition & Payment Policy

• A $50 registration fee is charged per student per year and is due at time of registration along with the first month’s tuition.

• All accounts are required to be on auto-draft. Full monthly tuition will be pulled on the 1st of each month from January - May. Tuition will be the same regardless of absences, holidays, or the number of weeks in a month (except January 2026, which will be prorated). 

• Sibling Discount - Families are charged for all classes as one dancer rather than separate students. After 7 classes, there is an unlimited family rate for a family of two. For a family of three or more you will need to contact us for special rates.

• A $40 service charge will be added for any returned payments.

• A $15 late fee will be added after the 7th for accounts with a balance.

• No refunds or credits will be given under any circumstance, including fall/spring classes, summer classes, costumes, or show fees.

• Any remaining tuition balances must be paid before registering for another class.

• Summer tuition deposit is required at the time of registration, and full payment must be made prior to the start of class.

• Amplify Joy Studio reserves the right to drop a student due to non-payment or excessive returned payments.

• Tuition may be paid in full at any time, but there is no discounted rate. If a student withdraws after paying in full, no refund or credit can be offered.

Withdrawal Policy

Enrollment in classes for the 2026 fall/spring season is January–May. Withdrawals must be submitted in writing 30 days before an auto draft or the next month’s tuition will be charged. Withdrawal must be signed off by the front desk; teachers are not allowed to withdraw students. For summer classes, withdrawal must occur before the start of class.  Deposits and tuition are non-refundable.

Class Placement

Students are placed in classes according to age, ability, and/or experience at the discretion of teachers and the director. All Amplify Joy Studio companies and professional classes are by audition only.

Class Cancellations Due to Weather

Though we will check with local school districts, it is at the director’s discretion to close the studio or cancel classes. We will send updates via text, email, and social media. Please follow us on Facebook & Instagram (Amplify Joy Studio) for the latest information. We do not prorate for weather-related class cancellations.

Medical Policy to Drop Classes 

A doctor’s note is required for monthly tuition to be prorated for classes dropped due to injury. We must receive the note within two weeks of the doctor’s signature. Classes will be prorated from the date of injury, up to two weeks.

Attendance & Make-Up Classes

Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. Absences affect both the student and the class. Please notify the studio, with as much notice as possible, in the event that your student may be out.

A student may be removed from a class if attendance drops below 80%. Amplify Joy Studio reserves the right to drop any student who misses class for more than 30 days without written notification.

There are no refunds for missed classes. Make-up classes (limited to 2 per semester) may be scheduled in another class of the same level and genre. Please schedule with the office.

Private Dance Lessons

Private lessons are available and scheduled through the office. Each instructor may set their own rate, which includes a studio rental fee. Lesson fees must be paid 24 hours in advance and are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, notify the office 24 hours ahead or you will be charged. If a teacher cancels within 24 hours, the teacher will provide a free make-up lesson in addition to the already-paid lesson.

Studio Rules & Guidelines

Amplify Joy Studio is a community, and we expect respect and kindness at all times!

• Keep noise levels down in the student lounge, lobby, and hallways.

• Only closed water bottles allowed in studios. Food and drinks stay in the lobby.

• No cell phones in classrooms; phones must be silenced in the lobby.

• Please always supervise young children and clean up after them.

• No foul language or gossip permitted.

• Label all belongings.

• Keep children from climbing on furniture or equipment.

• Keep small toys and items off floors to prevent injury.

 

Observation of Classes

Amplify Joy Studio has viewing windows for class observation. Teachers may close viewing at any time if it becomes a distraction. Please refrain from tapping on windows.

Parental Release

​

• I have read and agree to abide by Amplify Joy Studio Policies and Guidelines regarding tuition, late fees, attendance, class withdrawal, and all other topics mentioned.

• I understand that Amplify Joy Studio reserves the right to refuse instruction to anyone not abiding by the Policies and Guidelines.

• I understand that Amplify Joy Studio reserves the right to cancel or combine a class if enrollment is too small.

• I understand that Amplify Joy Studio reserves the right to change schedules, instructors, policies, and/or rates at any time.

• I understand that Amplify Joy Studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items or unclaimed merchandise.

• I understand that even after responsible measures are taken, course activities may involve hazards for which Amplify Joy Studio is not responsible. I authorize staff to seek emergency medical care if my child or I become ill or injured.

• I understand that by entering the Amplify Joy Studio facility or events, the risk of illness, Covid-19, or other viruses may occur. I agree not to hold Amplify Joy Studio responsible.

• Please let us know ASAP of any Medical conditions we should be aware of.

• Certain conditions may require a doctor’s release before participation.

 

Photo Release

Unless otherwise notified, I give Amplify Joy Studio permission to use my child’s name, photo, and media in all forms for advertising or other lawful purposes.
