AMPLIFY JOY STUDIO 2026 DRESS CODE

Amplify values excellence and upholds a high standard of dress etiquette. Proper attire is essential to maintaining a focused and professional learning environment. 

​

Students who are not dressed according to the dress code will not be permitted to participate in class.

  • Leotard: White leotard 
    ​Please ensure that undergarments are not visible.

  • Skirt: Required — White skirt or white tutu

  • Tights: Capezio light pink tights

  • Shoes:

    • Full-sole leather ballet shoes (light pink)

    • Black tap shoes with snap or Velcro closure

  • Hair: Ballet bun or low ponytail slicked back – secure fly aways(If hair is above shoulder length, it must be pulled out of the face.)

 

BOYS: White t-shirt, black shorts, and black ballet shoes

  • Leotard: Dark green leotard

       Please ensure that undergarments are not visible.

  • Skirt: Required — Dark green skirt or dark green tutu

  • Tights: Capezio light pink tights 

  • Shoes:

    • Full-sole leather ballet shoes (light pink)

    • Black tap shoes with snap or Velcro closure

  • Hair:  Ballet bun or low ponytail slicked back – secure fly aways (If hair is above shoulder length, it must be pulled out of the face.)

 

BOYS: White t-shirt, black shorts, and black ballet shoes

  • Leotard: Solid black leotard (any style that's modest - no midriff cutouts)

  • Skirt: Required — black hi-low skirt 

  • Tights: Capezio light pink or maple tights (to match skin tone)

  • Shoes: Capezio split-sole canvas ballet shoes in light pink or maple (to match tights)

  • Hair:  Ballet bun, securely fastened with bobby pins and a hair net

Additional Requirements: 

  • No jewelry

  • Tights must be free of holes and runs

  • No footless tights

 

BOYS: White t-shirt, black shorts, and black ballet shoes

  • Pants: Flowy pants or sweatpants
    No shorts or jeans due to floor work.

  • Shirt: Loose-fitting and appropriate tops (t-shirts acceptable)

  • Hair: Neat and pulled away from the face

  • Shoes:  Sneakers required (free from dirt and debris)
    Sneakers must not be worn outside the studio

  • Top: Any modest form-fitting top
    No low-cut, backless, or midriff-baring tops. No flannels or sweatshirts. 

  • Pants: Any modest jazz pants or fitted leggings or joggers (no baggy styles)

  • Hair: Neat and pulled back away from face

  • Shoes:

    • Jazz or Tap: Capezio slip on tan or black jazz shoes (younger levels and older levels) OR black grip dance socks (older levels only); black lace up full-sole tap shoes (all levels) 

    • All other styles: dance grip socks/dance paws/jazz shoes (listed above)​

 

BOYS: White or black t-shirt, black shorts or pants (no jeans), and black ballet shoes or black crew socks

For our boys and male students. Please let us know if you need help finding appropriate clothes to wear. 

Additional Policy Reminder

As part of Amplify's policy, students are expected to maintain modest attire at all times. â€‹

Please ensure appropriate coverage in both class and lobby areas.
